Job Description: SUMMARY Manage the operations of the Used & Rental Lift Truck Sales Department by performing the following duties. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Maximize the efficiency and profitability of the Used & Rental Truck Sales Department with direct responsibility for profit and loss results and market share. Ensure the growth and development of the Used & Rental Lift Truck Sales Department by establishing and managing department goals. Oversee used equipment purchasing by developing and maintaining a network of dealers, wholesalers, leasing companies, rental companies, and users that ensures an on-going supply of quality used equipment. Manage and maintain the Used & Rental Truck fleet inventory to meet the goals of the Quinn Lift Division to include inventory turns, fleet utilization, and return on investment. Maintain and recommend to the Lift Operations Manager proper fleet size, model mix, additions, or deletions of the Used & Rental Truck inventory. Merchandise used and rental equipment by maintaining existing websites, weekly equipment bulletins, equipment lists, and correlation with internal marketing department. Assist sales department with inspection/trade-in evaluations and trade-in pricing levels. Develop and maintain RPO and LTR program. Work with branches to manage fleet maintenance costs. SUPERVISORY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Directly supervises employees with used and rental sales responsibility in the Quinn Lift department as assigned. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor s degree (BA) from four year college or university and four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
