Position Summary:The Group Sales Specialist is responsible for securing new and repeat business to meet/exceed desired revenue and profitability goals for the component. The Group Sales Office handles all inquiries and contracting related to multiple market segments and venues within the Park, Weddings, Social, Tour & Travel, FIT, Meetings and Events. This team is responsible for both day tours and overnight itineraries for all venues located within the Park including the High Sierra Camps. Primary
Must be responsive to customer needs and requests via email and phone inquiries, continually evaluating the quality of the products and services provided to the customer
Responsible for accuracy and timeliness of contracts
Prepares proposals, RFPs, sales contracts and resumes
Completes rate negotiations, contract negotiations and collection of deposits with guidance of Sales Leader
Administers event follow up and future opportunity inquiries
Enters rooming lists; adjust counts on BEOs for meal counts and ancillary services, special requests for guest reservations
Enter FIT reservations via extranet sites or email requests
Send invoices, collect payment and issue receipts as needed
Communicate frequently with colleagues (ie. Finance, Operations, Planners, etc.)
Participation in weekly sales team BEO and group event meetings
Ensures timely communication to event planners and operations team
Increases account revenue and/or operating profit contribution by promoting ancillary spend and creating other opportunities for growth. Upsells and makes creative suggestions to clients
Creates quarterly plans and actions to successfully achieve/exceed budget
Identifies and recommends new sales and revenue opportunities
Maintains an awareness of the competition and market conditions internal and external to the component. Work with neighboring properties for overflow reservations and occasional displacement bookings
Demonstrates a proactive and enthusiastic attitude in striving for and meeting components business goals and objectives.
Recognizes the need for and demonstrates good communication and listening skills with clients, customers, and employees
Represents Aramark both professionally and ethically at all times
Responsible for full use of Delphi FDC, including group contracts, reporting, and other
Responsible for full use of SMS, including building group blocks, mini-groups, city ledgers, entering rooming lists, release dates, FIT bookings (rooms, activities and meals)
Management of accounts within respective deployment to include, direct billing eligibility and reconciliation, scrubbing and netting group blocks, creation of group meal and ancillary activities via BEOs, posting deposits and final payments.
Collaborate with Sales Leader, Revenue Manager and Rates & Inventory team to establish target rate calendar, yielding strategies, and rate changes to support demand cycle
Timely response to group email inbox, RFPs, and incoming inquiries
High School Education or Equivalent
Great communication skills both written and oral
Strong leadership skills
Ability to work successfully in a team environment promote team work
